This program is addressed to language teachers, who certify to be English teacher in public schools, and who have at least one professional experienced year (18 hours per week) in high-schools or college students. Primary and private school teacher could not apply.

SUR LE MÉTIER DE L'ÉDUCATION: DES PROFESSEURS DES ÉCOLES EN FRANCE

Missions

Les professeurs des écoles travaillent avec des enfants dont l'âge peut aller de 2 à 11 ans, c'est-à-dire de la première année de l'école maternelle à la dernière année de l'école élémentaire. Ils abordent différents domaines puisque l'enseignement qu'ils dispensent est polyvalent : français, mathématiques, histoire et géographie, sciences expérimentales, langue vivante, musique, arts plastiques, activités manuelles et éducation sportive. Ce sont les contenus et les activités liés à toutes ces disciplines qu'ils sont amenés à organiser et à conduire avec leurs élèves.

 Concours

Le concours de recrutement des professeurs des écoles est académique. Ceci signifie que les lauréats sont affectés dans un des départements de l'académie où ils ont passé le concours et enseigneront après titularisation, dans ce département (d'où l'importance du choix de cette académie lors de l'inscription au concours).
Plusieurs concours permettent de devenir professeur des écoles selon votre situation (externe, interne, troisième voie, etc.).

Carrière et rémunération

Une fois reçus au concours, les professeurs des écoles effectuent leur stage dans l'académie où ils ont passé le concours. Ils suivent une année de formation professionnelle dans un I.U.F.M.et des stages dans des écoles, en particulier un stage "en responsabilité".
L'année de formation donne lieu à une évaluation portant à la fois sur les stages, le mémoire et les enseignements suivis en I.U.F.M.. Cette évaluation conditionne leur titularisation
Une fois titulaires, les professeurs des écoles sont affectés dans un des départements de l'académie où ils ont présenté le concours, en fonction du nombre de postes, de leur voeux et de leur rang de classement au concours.
Le corps des professeurs des écoles comporte deux classes ("grades") :
- une classe normale qui comprend onze échelons ;
- une hors-classe qui comprend sept échelons.
Comme pour tout fonctionnaire, la rémunération principale des professeurs des écoles augmente périodiquement au fur et à mesure qu'ils gravissent les échelons à l'intérieur de leur grade : à chaque échelon correspond en effet un indice qui détermine le montant de la rémunération principale. Ces changements d'échelon sont plus ou moins rapides en fonction notamment de la note attribuée après l'inspection. Ainsi, selon qu'il avance au grand choix ou à l'ancienneté, un professeur des écoles atteindra le dernier échelon de la classe normale en 20 ou 30 ans.
Pour traduire l'importance de ces différences en termes de salaire, le tableau utilise les notions de "salaire minimum" - qui correspond à l'indice atteint par un enseignant avançant essentiellement à l'ancienneté dans la classe normale - et celui de "salaire maximum" correspondant à l'indice atteint par un enseignant avançant au grand choix et terminant sa carrière à la hors-classe.
Les salaires nets mensuels indiqués s'entendent hors perception de l'indemnité de résidence, du supplément familial de traitement éventuellement perçu et toutes cotisations sociales déduites.


Une vie professionnelle évolutive
Exercer le métier de professeur ne signifie pas nécessairement enseigner toute sa vie, encore moins enseigner toute sa vie de la même manière. La liberté que lui laisse l'organisation de son travail permet à l'enseignant qui le désire d'exercer ses compétences au-delà de sa classe et de les élargir par l'animation d'activités périscolaires, la création de matériel pédagogique ou de logiciels éducatifs.
Un professeur est amené à actualiser et à compléter ses connaissances tout au long de sa vie professionnelle. La formation continue et la promotion interne permettent aux enseignants qui en ont le souhait et le goût d'évoluer dans l'exercice de leur métier voire de changer d'activités dans l'Education nationale. Ainsi, un professeur des écoles peut, par exemple, devenir directeur d'école, maître formateur en I.U.F.M., psychologue scolaire, inspecteur, enseignant au collège ou au lycée (en passant un concours interne) ou à l'étranger.
Enfin, le détachement, la mise à disposition ou la disponibilité permettent à certains, pendant quelques années, d'exercer un métier différent de celui qu'ils ont initialement choisi.

Rémunération des professeurs des écoles et des personnels de l'enseignement du second degré

A chaque échelon correspond un indice (nombre de « points »). En multipliant l'indice par la valeur du point, on obtient le montant de la rémunération principale.
Cette rémunération principale augmente périodiquement au fur et à mesure que vous gravissez les échelons à l'intérieur d'un grade. Ces changements d'échelon sont plus ou moins rapides en fonction du mérite. Ainsi, selon qu'il avance au grand choix ou à l'ancienneté pour le changement d'échelon, un certifié atteindra le dernier échelon de la classe normale en 20 ou 30 ans.

Vous pouvez également bénéficier de promotions par changement de grade par exemple en passant de la « classe normale » à la « hors-classe » de votre corps, ce qui se traduira par une augmentation de votre rémunération et des perspectives futures de salaire.

Spanish assistant will work 12 hours per week as assistants of a Spanish teacher on colleges and institutes. Contenido del programa:
Los asistentes o auxiliares de docencia del curso de español trabajarán 12 horas semanales como asistentes de un profesor de español en colegios de primaria, bachillerato, academias o universidades. Si los asistentes son asignados a una institución de enseñanza primaria, la duración del programa será de 7- 9 meses (de octubre a junio), si es en una institución de secundaria, será de 7 meses (de octubre a abril) y si es un instituto universitario de formación de maestros, será de 6 meses (de octubre a marzo).

About the ECAES 2009

ECAES es necesario para graduarse
Todos los programas de educación superior a nivel de pregrado: técnico profesional, tecnológico y universitario, de instituciones públicas y privadas del país deben presentar el próximo 29 de noviembre el Exámenes de Calidad de la Educación Superior – ECAES.
Los estudiantes de los programas académicos que no estén cubiertos por uno de los 55 ECAES ofrecidos por el ICFES hasta el 2008, serán evaluados con pruebas de competencias genéricas. Es decir, todos los estudiantes que se encuentren próximos a egresar de la educación superior, independiente del programa que cursen, les corresponderá presentar el examen ya que este es requisito indispensable para obtener el título.
Para desarrollar con éxito la aplicación de los ECAES 2009 es indispensable que las instituciones de educación superior realicen los trámites en los términos previstos para el Registro. Modern Form
The subjunctive in Modern English is easily distinguished in a great variety of contexts where the sense is past tense, but the form of the subjunctive verb required is present: "It was required that we go to the back of the line". Were it not the subjunctive, the form of "to go" for something in the past would be went. Compare with the indicative, "Everyone knows that we went to the back of the line".
FORM
Use the simple form of the verb. The simple form is the infinitive without the "to." The simple form of the verb "to go" is "go." The Subjunctive is only noticeable in certain forms and tenses.

The Subjunctive is only noticeable in certain forms and tenses. In the examples below, the Subjunctive is not noticeable in the you-form of the verb, but it is noticeable in the he-form of the verb.
Examples:
You try to study often. you-form of "try"
It is important that you try to study often. Subjunctive form of "try" looks the same.
He tries to study often. he-form of "try"
It is important that he try to study often. Subjunctive form of "try" is noticeable here.

La Patasola is the spirit of an unfaithful woman.
Who felt in love with her husband’s landlord. When her husband discovered the situation, he killed him and cut one of her legs.
She managed to scape, but later she bled and died.
She is a slim and beautiful woman with a single leg the form of a tree trunk that ends in a hoof of a bear. She has a sign in her chest and very long arms with hands as claws. Her aspect is frightful.
She has the eyes of tigers, a big mouth, enormous canines and entangled hair.
She lives in the woods, and has been seen singing and climbing trees waiting for the moon to come out. She is considered the lord and lady of the forest, surrounded by fierce and evil tiny beasts. She is persecuted by hunters, and she hates to be around dogs.
Sometimes she appears as a gorgeous woman.
Seductively she calls men and seduces them, as she advances through the dark of the forest, she transforms herself into a monster with eyes on fire immense mouth with feline teeth, and a Medusa's hair that falls on her face hiding her ugliness.
She devours her victim leaving only the bare bones,those who are able to escape, return to try to kill her.
The Legend says that only way to keep her away from us, is to be always accompanied of domestic animals, specially dogs, or having lit candles or an Axe.

Once a poor man was married to a beautiful woman who lived in his village. The couple was very much in love, but the man insisted that they were too poor to have any children. When he found out his wife was pregnant, the man was very angry. He told the woman they could not keep the child. After the birth of his son, the man drowned the child in the river. His wife, too weak from giving birth to get up from the bed, pleaded in vain with her husband to spare the life of her child.

Several more sons were born to the couple, and the poor man drowned every one. The day the poor man took his fifth child to the river, his wife followed even though she was still weak and bleeding from giving birth. When he threw the child in the river, the woman went in after her son, determined to save the boy even though she did not know how to swim. The woman and her baby were swept away by the current and they both drowned.

The very next night, the woman's spirit returned to the river beside her home, wailing and searching for the sons she had lost. At first, the poor man was terrified by the spirit of his wife. He begged her to return to the spirit realm. But she did not hear him.

Night after night, the woman returned to the river, wailing and wringing her hands in her grief. The poor man became angry. But he could not stop the ghost of his wife from searching for her sons.

Finally, the sound of the wailing woman drove the man mad. He grabbed a knife and jumped into the river after the spirit to kill her. But the poor man did not know how to swim. The current swept him away and he drowned.
From that day to this, the spirit of La Llorona -- the wailing woman -- still haunts the waters and lakes, weeping and wailing and searching for her sons.
